Mmmm, Martinborough... Vines, wines and good times. This teency town in the Wairarapa, in the southeast of the North Island, holds famous "Round the Vines" festivals for cultured pissheads to kid themselves about exercise and wine simultaneously.

Unfortunately, we struck the town on a public holiday - when the world renowned vineyards were closed. Still, we had fun sampling the local merchandise anyway!

While sitting in the only open cafe on Good Friday, the over worked waitress was being harassed by three kids, who were obviously lacking Ritalin!

"Sugar! Gimme sugar!" They pleaded, jumping up and down.
"But you've already had two bowls. You can't have anymore, I'm running out."
"You can get more tomorrow! Go on! Go on! Sugar, pleeeeeeeaseee! We only need one more bowl."

This was the Wairarapa, after all. The kids know how to create their own entertainment.
