Our adventures began on Thursday, April 8, 2004, the day before Good Friday. Tali managed to skive off work early, fearing
State Highway 1 would be chocka. She was pleased to discover it wasn't too bad heading south - and was at DJ's place in no
time at all.
We headed up the hill of horror, otherwise known as the Rimutaka Hill Road, which takes you from Upper Hutt into the
Wairarapa, a rural district north of Wellington.
