We took the scenic route from Napier to Hastings, selecting quirky back roads that took us to pretty (but freezing cold!)
beaches, through vineyards and paddocks. The feel of real New Zealand.
The open road, a tank full of petrol and great company... Bliss!

I don't care what anybody says, it was bloody freezing!
