No visit to Hastings would be complete without a visit to Splash Planet, a water world extraordinaire, complete with hydro slides, pools and other amusements. We were concerned that being Easter Monday, the place would be chocca - so we got there at the butt crack of dawn, when the theme park opened. Actually, we needn't have worried, it was absolutely empty! Who else would be crazy enough to brave a water park in such Arctic (or Antarctic) conditions?! They advertised that some of the slides were heated but it turned out that only two were. The rest was freezing cold! Still, it didn't stop us from having a go!
