During the Xmas break in 2004, DJ and Tali decided to embark on a road trip throughout New Zealand's North Island. This ended up becoming the "chasing the sun" tour. It involved being rained out of our remote Coromandel camp, crashing into a hill bank on very slippery mountain roads driving to Thames, chundering by the roadside north of Colville, a flat tyre in Thames, the road to hell from Opotiki to Gisborne and camping in a park by a load of noisy, drunken teens because all motels were full throughout Eastland. But it wasn't allll bad. Honest!!
