Waihi

The following day, December 27, we decided to climb the Mount. However, the holiday madness was already setting in (the town has a rep for teenage nutters causing mischief and mayhem every new years) and we couldn't get a park anywhere near, so thought, bugger it, and got quite confused navigating through Tauranga to get to Waihi, a mining town with many colonial buildings on the outskirts of the Coromandel peninsula. Wolfed down a veggie pattie sub from Subway - which Tali was truly to regret later on!
